Friday Conversation 13/7

Today's question from Friday Feature is about why you started book blogging.

For me, I'd been blogging for ages and also writing book reviews on Goodreads. I met a lot of book bloggers through both those communities, so it seemed like a logical step tostart a separate book blog of my own. It's encouraged me to write longer, more thoughtful reviews compared to the ones I started with, too.

Book Blogger Hop

Meanwhile, this week's question at the Book Blogger Hop asks how long does it take you to read a book?

This is very variable for me as I often have at least a couple of books on the go at a time. I can read a YA novel or a fast-paced thriller in a few hours, but I also read quite a bit of non-fiction (which I prefer to digest more slowly) and epic fantasy (lots of pages!) and those tend to take longer. It can really be anything between an afternoon, and a couple of weeks. If I don't finish a book within a fortnight, though, it's probably heading for the Did Not Finish pile...

Hopping by from Book Blogger Hop

It really depends on so many things doesn't it? Length of the book, what you have going on in your life, if the book is good or not (lol) etc. etc!

I only ever read one book at a time and average about two a week.

I used to not try to attempt a couple of books at a time, but it seems harder for me to concentrated on a book now.

Great question.
I read about 100 pages a day, depends on the day (weekends are harder) and on the book (non-fiction are more difficult).

I have a couple books going at a time too and somehow I always finish all of them around the same time. Typically I'm reading a lunch break book, a weekday night book, a weekend book, and a daily commute books. It takes me about a month to finish each. Great question!
